New changes for the New Year

I have been trying to get my blog the way I want it for some time now. I finally got it! My new template is so pretty and I think the layout is just about right. There might be a few little tweaks still needed. But over all, I am truly pleased! Granted, I am as indecisive as they come sometimes, so don't get hooked on the way it looks. LOL

My blog isn't the only changes I am making this month. I am not one to make resolutions usually, but I do want to make a few this year. The thing is, these aren't just for 2015. I want to make permenint changes. There is only ONE way to do that....With GOD's help!

Resolutions for 2015 and BEYOND with Lil' Paper Crumbs

James 1:19

1.To Stop all the yelling!!:

I yell at my kids WAY too much! I'm not a bad mom, but I know that I could be even better than I am. Yelling doesn't do anybody any good. I know this first hand, but yet I allow my temper to get the better of me. I want James 1:19 to be my 'motto'.

Daily Quiet Time with God
 2. To have daily quiet time with God:
I don't know about you, but I am horrible about actually getting in The Bible DAILY. I pray daily and I look at Bible verses daily, but I don't study God's word daily. I know that if I allow God to be the first person I turn to in the mornings, my life will change! So for this year and beyond, I am dedicating myself to spending morning quiet time with God, EVERY DAY!

365Project with Lil' Paper Crumbs
3. To take at least one photograph daily for the next year:

Now this one is really just for 2015.(Or I might even continue on the next year.) I've been wanting to do this for sometime now. So this year will be the year. I have joined a website called 365Project. They have weekly themes, friendly competitions, Tips n Tricks and much more.

That's It folks. What are your resolutions going to be? What are your thoughts on resolutions? Please leave me comment. I would love to hear your opinion!

  1. Beautiful goals! And super doable, too :) I have vaguely heard of the 365 project, but now I'm really considering doing it. I take pictures on my phone quite a lot, but I don't know if it's every day!

    1. Thanks, Stefanie! If you decide to start 365project, let me know. We could share with each other and be motivational partners!

  2. I could write your same list! I will work on those things, too. I needed to get into the Bible daily, and so I wrote a 31 day devotion series. It was a great way to immerse myself in the Word. Maybe that might be something to consider since you're a writer, too. Thanks for sharing your faith!

    1. Thanks, Julie! What a great idea about the devotion series!! I might have to consider that.

  3. What great goals! I know you can do it! I try to do the 365 pictures but I always end up behind, I might try again this year!

    1. Thanks, Jacquie! I really appreciate the encouraging words! If you wanna give it a shot again this year, we could keep each other accountable. I'm sure that I might fall behind too. LOL The life of a mom of 3 is so busy!

  4. I love your blog design. I especially love the header, that's the first thing I noticed and thought it was lovely. These are some amazing goals, I am sure you can get it done. :D

    1. Thanks, Jazmine! It took quite a bit of work to find the layout I have. As for my goals, I pray I can accomplish them. Thanks for the kind words!

Thanks for taking the time to drop me a line!
