My blog isn't the only changes I am making this month. I am not one to make resolutions usually, but I do want to make a few this year. The thing is, these aren't just for 2015. I want to make permenint changes. There is only ONE way to do that....With GOD's help!
1.To Stop all the yelling!!:
I yell at my kids WAY too much! I'm not a bad mom, but I know that I could be even better than I am. Yelling doesn't do anybody any good. I know this first hand, but yet I allow my temper to get the better of me. I want James 1:19 to be my 'motto'.
I don't know about you, but I am horrible about actually getting in The Bible DAILY. I pray daily and I look at Bible verses daily, but I don't study God's word daily. I know that if I allow God to be the first person I turn to in the mornings, my life will change! So for this year and beyond, I am dedicating myself to spending morning quiet time with God, EVERY DAY!
3. To take at least one photograph daily for the next year:
Now this one is really just for 2015.(Or I might even continue on the next year.) I've been wanting to do this for sometime now. So this year will be the year. I have joined a website called 365Project. They have weekly themes, friendly competitions, Tips n Tricks and much more.
That's It folks. What are your resolutions going to be? What are your thoughts on resolutions? Please leave me comment. I would love to hear your opinion!
Later,
Erin
Beautiful goals! And super doable, too :) I have vaguely heard of the 365 project, but now I'm really considering doing it. I take pictures on my phone quite a lot, but I don't know if it's every day!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Stefanie! If you decide to start 365project, let me know. We could share with each other and be motivational partners!
DeleteI could write your same list! I will work on those things, too. I needed to get into the Bible daily, and so I wrote a 31 day devotion series. It was a great way to immerse myself in the Word. Maybe that might be something to consider since you're a writer, too. Thanks for sharing your faith!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Julie! What a great idea about the devotion series!! I might have to consider that.
DeleteWhat great goals! I know you can do it! I try to do the 365 pictures but I always end up behind, I might try again this year!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jacquie! I really appreciate the encouraging words! If you wanna give it a shot again this year, we could keep each other accountable. I'm sure that I might fall behind too. LOL The life of a mom of 3 is so busy!
DeleteYou got this!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nikki!! :)
DeleteI love your blog design. I especially love the header, that's the first thing I noticed and thought it was lovely. These are some amazing goals, I am sure you can get it done. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jazmine! It took quite a bit of work to find the layout I have. As for my goals, I pray I can accomplish them. Thanks for the kind words!
