Now on to getting clean and ready for the new year. In the following days, dust will fly, rags will get rung and loud rock ballads will be played. <br />
<br />
<br />
As the new year approaches, I am excited and apprehensive. In less than 2 weeks l will be a full time college student. The excitement of it just has me bubbly some days. But this is my first year, I am also nervous. What if I fail? What if I'm not meant to go down this path? <br />
<br />
<br />
But that is when I stand firm in my faith! I am a child of the One true God. He is my provider and my rock. I have prayed over this many, many times. I always have the same feeling of peace and blessing.<br />
<br /><br />
So the plan is to get my BA in Arts and my BA in Education. I am going to be an Elementary School Special Education Teacher. I have a passion for children and children with special needs. In today's society there is still a large need for people who love and support those with special needs and disabilities. I strongly believe that you are not your diagnosis! You are only restricted by what you to allow. (within reason) <br />
<br /><br />
I have witnessed the change in a child that was no longer kept in the confines of their diagnosis. When they were given the freedom to grow and reach, it is amazing! My prayer is to help other children have that ability. To reach and strive to break free of the box they have been put it!!!<br />
<br /><br />
Stay tuned for my adventure into college.<br />
Later,<br />

I have obtained a full time job!! So as for having time to blog......it's not really gonna happen. Seeing as I am a mother of 3 and now I have full time employment, I don't really know when I will get back on here.<br />
<br />
I still have 2 more parts to my series: Upcycling YOU can do. So be on the look out for those, hopefully soon. No promises!<br />
<br />
Well you guys, it has been fun.<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0qacCp4OLGWR9BxN6v_ZF8F2LuMZ0JvrYt6-0AxH_5TfBWSXpt8gKlKwpKNGv7tteKphlovTZW3SoyuWtnFwCCqEKCSKT00p5n6cn_Os3tBGCckmht9DMKH4ouFA7b8bLMNCcEsv31qI/s1600/MidWeekChat.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Mid-Week Chat - Diving into God's Word with Lil' Paper Crumbs" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0qacCp4OLGWR9BxN6v_ZF8F2LuMZ0JvrYt6-0AxH_5TfBWSXpt8gKlKwpKNGv7tteKphlovTZW3SoyuWtnFwCCqEKCSKT00p5n6cn_Os3tBGCckmht9DMKH4ouFA7b8bLMNCcEsv31qI/s1600/MidWeekChat.jpg" height="473" title="" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It has been several weeks since I posted a Mid-Week Chat. My life has been a series of ups and downs for sometime now. I just got separated from my husband, only 1 month ago. I rung in the new year in a new home, new town and new state. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
But today it was placed on my heart to have our little chat and </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
share with you some things that God has been doing in my life.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Moving forward is hard. Even when you feel like you can't do it, if you just let God have control and listen to His spirit, He will guide you and be with you. I am reminded of the poem Footprints.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkM6gJz9haQmp3HqdcY-scTmnr78yjnuaZGncJcH_9wc6dlST3dujJRoEF66TKPtwDKEUtyFBePCaFG_0lTw24RYNJSbWGSmJsKHSNVEvueP5PdJHnFockdiMAyzqgJZIJukZfvGBZoAI/s1600/footprintsPoem.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkM6gJz9haQmp3HqdcY-scTmnr78yjnuaZGncJcH_9wc6dlST3dujJRoEF66TKPtwDKEUtyFBePCaFG_0lTw24RYNJSbWGSmJsKHSNVEvueP5PdJHnFockdiMAyzqgJZIJukZfvGBZoAI/s1600/footprintsPoem.jpg" height="640" width="426" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
All to often we forget that God is in control and never leaves us. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The Bible say "Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden light." Matthew 11:29 & 30</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What a beautiful thing to rest in! He doesn't promise us no work or no burdens, but he does promise that with Him, it will be easier than if we go it alone. God is faithful! He has proven to me time and time again, that if I trust in him daily and be obedient, He will provide for me.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What has He done for you lately? How have you seen the provisions of God in your life?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This one was an unexpected find. I was looking for something abstract to photograph and there it was. It was laying next to the sink to be cleaned. So this photo was born. LOL</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Part 2 of 4</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Upcycling isn't just about saving the earth. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It is also about saving money and making your home look nicer with things you made! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In this 4 part series, I will give you DIY instructions for 5 different upcycling crafts for your home.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></b>
<b><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></b><b><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Food Cans ---> Pencil Holder</span></b><br />
<b><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></b>
Most crafters have made a pencil holder or two in their day.<br />
But today I am going to show you how to make one that is a little bit different.<br />
This pencil holder takes 2 cans, one large and one small.<br />
I wanted a pencil can that you could keep your pens separated from your pencils.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjddgpIvrKmtDZFG6tnBA1tgoV6kLmluURf3-rXcnN2ii3gnkXOZ8HqcirPzuc8CFGeINAPGZvoPaRq5ti7ZC__LfQntI43TT9kdPNXyJTQCsP2MgkmYdc0jpvt6zacaahF2tMCXFYVWlA/s1600/PencilCanSetup.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Pencil Holder - Lil' Paper Crumbs" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjddgpIvrKmtDZFG6tnBA1tgoV6kLmluURf3-rXcnN2ii3gnkXOZ8HqcirPzuc8CFGeINAPGZvoPaRq5ti7ZC__LfQntI43TT9kdPNXyJTQCsP2MgkmYdc0jpvt6zacaahF2tMCXFYVWlA/s1600/PencilCanSetup.jpg" height="640" title="" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Supplies needed are:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Large aluminum can</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Small aluminum can</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
scissors</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
pencil</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
hot glue gun</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
ruler</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
tacky glue or other strong glue</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixj3TXlFh_4A7jgKpPh7DPKFPYn0MFf3x7OjIoZwi4yJebLzUxWU1OIYah1VcjyXxLLEKcddggYFQKmB3TS34gr53HZox-hb9ZMl-s-k7DXkL4g2dPwl3hRAFeHyDUYMPDUVmB_4LnR_0/s1600/PencilCanGluePaper.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Pencil Holder - Lil' Paper Crumbs" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEixj3TXlFh_4A7jgKpPh7DPKFPYn0MFf3x7OjIoZwi4yJebLzUxWU1OIYah1VcjyXxLLEKcddggYFQKmB3TS34gr53HZox-hb9ZMl-s-k7DXkL4g2dPwl3hRAFeHyDUYMPDUVmB_4LnR_0/s1600/PencilCanGluePaper.jpg" height="480" title="" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Use your ruler to measure the size of the label on the large can.<br />
Glue it with your tacky glue, right to the label already on the can.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaxa3ROtetGoODbpXNLDLiQRdG5meuUST6461sXzTYyDQYqn5yO-QTDogINHN5peVeSRfC9SZiwwnJLnQV2bXB2B8V8mmKFxmlvY_cb7tj-6zPL91d5plIlHdoKp09UnHRKxvEcqJlU60/s1600/PencilCanGlueInside.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Pencil Holder - Lil' Paper Crumbs" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaxa3ROtetGoODbpXNLDLiQRdG5meuUST6461sXzTYyDQYqn5yO-QTDogINHN5peVeSRfC9SZiwwnJLnQV2bXB2B8V8mmKFxmlvY_cb7tj-6zPL91d5plIlHdoKp09UnHRKxvEcqJlU60/s1600/PencilCanGlueInside.jpg" height="480" title="" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Now that you have made the big can pretty, on to the little one.<br />
The great thing is you don't have to do anything to it!<br />
Put several rings of hot glue on the bottom of the small can.<br />
Place it into the center inside of the bigger can.<br />
Like this...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdMzOJjdHA4f5n-WX6GgQPMYkCit3BOCE-8GlUkoa-74G-2CZawCEpYwvXZ3aW-l9BezKNDaOY1YQKFuG6znauNWEoL0U3-FU0E7kBE0ysnRYaXbvetY9R_-hh8DdkuhfUmfoVSg69AtU/s1600/PencilCanInside.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Pencil Holder - Lil' Paper Crumbs" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdMzOJjdHA4f5n-WX6GgQPMYkCit3BOCE-8GlUkoa-74G-2CZawCEpYwvXZ3aW-l9BezKNDaOY1YQKFuG6znauNWEoL0U3-FU0E7kBE0ysnRYaXbvetY9R_-hh8DdkuhfUmfoVSg69AtU/s1600/PencilCanInside.jpg" height="480" title="" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Now all you have to do is fill it. I made this for my boys to have in their room.<br />
It is filled with pencils and has a few pens, highlighters and rulers.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipZbknw7jOgvWM8j9WDm7tH5A_pGq8BEi8VL3E-NGDZrL4UdIRRvJ63K-OXi5pnJnfrq7bLrA5FScGjU9TBtN6_cu7Z-atNcYbjJRocjObRkNH9yxVs3OrSYHsykz5Pf4rEo6hiI81EiI/s1600/PencilCanFilled.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Pencil Holder - Lil' Paper Crumbs" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipZbknw7jOgvWM8j9WDm7tH5A_pGq8BEi8VL3E-NGDZrL4UdIRRvJ63K-OXi5pnJnfrq7bLrA5FScGjU9TBtN6_cu7Z-atNcYbjJRocjObRkNH9yxVs3OrSYHsykz5Pf4rEo6hiI81EiI/s1600/PencilCanFilled.jpg" height="480" title="" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As you can see, the inside can creates a nice small space to put your pens and highlighters.<br />I also placed a few small rulers in that gap. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjH4Pj6Kc9D-X7MDNt1GMBSAcG1OoBDRk3epErH91BIL9cKLPp7iFA9Dy4kffMSXitjPnWcA-s9ZnwsguIKS9XccZ0VM60Ndra2o3jX2NqhTzTs8kuo8S_9ekDUDtJ04y-iOY75lmsjRbU/s1600/PencilCanFinished.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Pencil Holder - Lil' Paper Crumbs" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjH4Pj6Kc9D-X7MDNt1GMBSAcG1OoBDRk3epErH91BIL9cKLPp7iFA9Dy4kffMSXitjPnWcA-s9ZnwsguIKS9XccZ0VM60Ndra2o3jX2NqhTzTs8kuo8S_9ekDUDtJ04y-iOY75lmsjRbU/s1600/PencilCanFinished.jpg" height="480" title="" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Here is the finished product, sitting in my boy's room!<br />

When you just wanna say "What else can go wrong?". That is where I am right now. For the past several months things just want to go wrong, one right after another. I know what you might be thinking, that this post is going to be a big whoa as me story. Well, guess again. I wanted to share with you what I do when I start feeling 'poor me'. <div>
<br /></div>
<div>
People get through tough things differently. I pray and talk to God and He gives me peace. Also I talk with friends and get advice and just plain ole' vent. One of the quick pick me ups that I use most, other than relying on God, is crafts! Specifically, paper crafts. I really enjoy paper crafts!!!!!!!!!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Today was a rough day. It was full of tough situations and decisions. So this evening I set down to create a paper craft. Not only did I want it to be pretty, I wanted it to be inspiring. Truly, I feel that I accomplished that. Here is the finished product.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAtbN9R6VAaxRYgAJsNJJESNllkoCzK6dRmrX6whpWyQLEfrDLxOdAyCI5tnpV5akDYm-9y3_P9tcp3EJ_Bt8yqufzCwmUkb96yNa22ZSzvh-OmKUgAk9Gx8AQP7fY3HymqvtLvwraUd0/s1600/Negatives.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Book page upcycle - Lil' Paper Crumbs" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAtbN9R6VAaxRYgAJsNJJESNllkoCzK6dRmrX6whpWyQLEfrDLxOdAyCI5tnpV5akDYm-9y3_P9tcp3EJ_Bt8yqufzCwmUkb96yNa22ZSzvh-OmKUgAk9Gx8AQP7fY3HymqvtLvwraUd0/s1600/Negatives.jpg" height="480" title="" width="640" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I created this from a page out of an old photography book. That inspired me to create a scene with two different stamps that I own. A camera and a film strip/negative strip. Before I created my little painting, I drew and stamped it out just like I would on the final paper, only on scrap paper. Once I was satisfied with that, on to making the actual artwork.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The first step was to stamp on my images with Stazon ink. This is great! You can stamp on just about anything and once it is dry, it is really hard to remove. After that dried, my pencil and I drew out the camera strap. The white/opaque background was created with white acrylic paint. Starting with a thin layer and then adding more as you need, you can recreate this too. Last but not least was the lettering.</div>
<div>
From searching on Google, this quote was found. I don't know who originally wrote it, but I felt that it really fit my project and my current events in my life. So I grabbed a sharpie and got to work. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Do you do any mixed media art? What do you usually use? Is it simple or intricate?</div>

got several great shots, but this by far was my favorite.</div>

<span style="font-size: x-large;"><b><span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Upcycling </span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">YOU</span><span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"> can do</span></b><span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"> </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Part 1 of 4</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Upcycling isn't just about saving the earth. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It is also about saving money and making your home look nicer with things you made! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In this 4 part series, I will give you DIY instructions for 5 different upcycling crafts for your home. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Baby Shampoo Bottle --> Decorative Q-tip Holder</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjF_V4dVvcyP8hrHDyjC-7SOQeZbTQS3u4XNoipzooroj6CjM3SLc3BFhl18-ZM5YcejRItnBpjtBsR9erA7SDaGSjDOnU5b-UtAB1fqTAc2hMW4OpB16FOHG3jAxJkhgAogABNQ6oy2Cs/s1600/collageStartFinish.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjF_V4dVvcyP8hrHDyjC-7SOQeZbTQS3u4XNoipzooroj6CjM3SLc3BFhl18-ZM5YcejRItnBpjtBsR9erA7SDaGSjDOnU5b-UtAB1fqTAc2hMW4OpB16FOHG3jAxJkhgAogABNQ6oy2Cs/s1600/collageStartFinish.jpg" height="280" width="400" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I can't stand seeing that ugly Q-tip box. So as the movie Robots says "See a need. Fill a need." </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Looking around I spotted the almost empty Baby Shampoo Bottle. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
That was when I had my 'A-ha!' moment. So here goes nothing. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
First things first, find yourself a Baby Shampoo Bottle. Empty would be preferable.<br />
Mine was almost empty, so I was good to go.<br />
(The one in the photo isn't empty as you can see. That isn't the one I used.)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-FXZvgj8jUSEIIWqRf5naOFegCC3LrhPuKZd5VZQ_r-6_FzWiKWB3S61d5xj7fkS0mhugBjyVEtMr9COe7iUCR2pNeG4yeNA6QIH5ouFeizkN9kwJ78E7BM6_ymyRBbtx5UXvrDO5Klo/s1600/BabyShampoo.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="The start of a Q-Tip holder - Lil' Paper Crumbs" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-FXZvgj8jUSEIIWqRf5naOFegCC3LrhPuKZd5VZQ_r-6_FzWiKWB3S61d5xj7fkS0mhugBjyVEtMr9COe7iUCR2pNeG4yeNA6QIH5ouFeizkN9kwJ78E7BM6_ymyRBbtx5UXvrDO5Klo/s1600/BabyShampoo.jpg" height="640" title="" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Your next step is to draw out an oval. I drew my oval out on paper first. Next I traced it onto the bottle with a dry erase marker. Didn't want ugly sharpie marks left behind! </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9Ia37BTMdNoL4tMyhl4y0HyPbnqHdf5iesy9VxCQDxCfB1nrmPxkuz8qu1XUxXNqcCzMUCH3Wp7kkn_CbXT9JZmhSGL8yekWB-IOiw_P0qrqMgZJEDEqL088SbSUxcjPVyR8HSQDrl_Q/s1600/BottleDrawCircle.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Q-Tip holder: Drawing out your shape - Lil' Paper Crumbs" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9Ia37BTMdNoL4tMyhl4y0HyPbnqHdf5iesy9VxCQDxCfB1nrmPxkuz8qu1XUxXNqcCzMUCH3Wp7kkn_CbXT9JZmhSGL8yekWB-IOiw_P0qrqMgZJEDEqL088SbSUxcjPVyR8HSQDrl_Q/s1600/BottleDrawCircle.jpg" height="480" title="" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The great thing about dry erase marker is that it comes off plastic surfaces with just a wipe. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
With an Xacto knife, carefully cut out the oval shape. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Don't worry about being precise, you will melt the edges later.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OqKdR7ePo8g/VLbQYU20krI/AAAAAAAAFNQ/2mVNl9AtIFI/s1600/BottleCutCircle.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Q-tip holder: Cutting out your oval - Lil' Paper Crumbs" border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-OqKdR7ePo8g/VLbQYU20krI/AAAAAAAAFNQ/2mVNl9AtIFI/s1600/BottleCutCircle.jpg" height="456" title="" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
This next part should be done with a candle/fireplace lighter.<br />
I find that you have better control with a long lighter than a short regular lighter.<br />
Plus your less likely to burn your fingers if the metal part gets hot.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEistsh_6sWS59IKJvLZyOX0-TyLf5uKiPOL8n-ePU8-prZ-NhemFvet7UyQ6rWuHLbFjoUBDST_iWERUl8o8AMFXXtmEw6dy3H9XiGG1vc_Zr9ifBz5KDPPZWXq_UtKmYHrw3WY6IlbZQE/s1600/BottleMeltEdges.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Q-tip holder: Melt the inner edge of oval - Lil' Paper Crumbs" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEistsh_6sWS59IKJvLZyOX0-TyLf5uKiPOL8n-ePU8-prZ-NhemFvet7UyQ6rWuHLbFjoUBDST_iWERUl8o8AMFXXtmEw6dy3H9XiGG1vc_Zr9ifBz5KDPPZWXq_UtKmYHrw3WY6IlbZQE/s1600/BottleMeltEdges.jpg" height="480" title="" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Here comes the fun part! I used washi tape to decorate my bottle.<br />
You could use whatever you have on hand. Sharpie markers or even acrylic paint would work.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQQ_uHSLvCeBXrqnc2paaqcEY5kNizpudqrbEjF0LKsqvi5SocwdRBBILp2g7YnrIpZ6egwv0Kuu0oi2XA3ev9c0G3bxCHLAHN1OXL90ncEFooHZ0Qx04UdRxYyIMO-e8YiZ7S0V7Swy4/s1600/BottleAddWashi.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Q-tip holder: Decorate your bottle - Lil' Paper Crumbs" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQQ_uHSLvCeBXrqnc2paaqcEY5kNizpudqrbEjF0LKsqvi5SocwdRBBILp2g7YnrIpZ6egwv0Kuu0oi2XA3ev9c0G3bxCHLAHN1OXL90ncEFooHZ0Qx04UdRxYyIMO-e8YiZ7S0V7Swy4/s1600/BottleAddWashi.jpg" height="480" title="" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Last but not least, take it to your bathroom and arrange your things to add in your beautiful creation!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMhhT00dhFDuJBfvpeZINqayimRlfU7A0ktFs1okBuBzqsQTQYrwSavF6b73ZRRL20ImwLAaI1rRFOrbuVmAYrCo08FaLPuwOvH2dCaza8TzdXSnm6ofKqD2ljl0Se1_f46ILMf2yC-3c/s1600/BottleFinishedProduct.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMhhT00dhFDuJBfvpeZINqayimRlfU7A0ktFs1okBuBzqsQTQYrwSavF6b73ZRRL20ImwLAaI1rRFOrbuVmAYrCo08FaLPuwOvH2dCaza8TzdXSnm6ofKqD2ljl0Se1_f46ILMf2yC-3c/s1600/BottleFinishedProduct.jpg" height="456" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The great thing about this holder is it can lay down or stand up, whichever you prefer.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I hope you have enjoyed this Upcycle. Do you think you would use this? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My bathroom looks so much better with it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I always just called this pattern, Zig Zag. But apparently it is called Chevron and it was all the rage in 2014. You see this pattern on clothes, handbags, notebooks, washi tape, greeting cards and even walls. One of my favorite rolls of washi tape is a chevron pattern. Below are a few pins that show off some great Chevron Patterns.</div>

What a great gift idea! I loved the idea so much that I made one as a gift for someone this Christmas. There are so many ways to create these mugs. You can use regular sharpie. oil based sharpie, stencils, and freehand drawing. I used a stencil that I hand cut, to create the Star Of Life on this mug. Come and see some photos!My old computer cord broke some time ago. So I was just using my husbands. Well, situation arose that I would need my own. I ordered a new one and it finally came! I ordered it on the 3rd and it just got here. Now I can get back to blogging!<br />
<br />
My 365 project is going ok. I felt lost without my computer. My photos were coming from my cell phone and that was frustrating. But now that my computer isn't dead anymore, I can start posting pics from my camera again. As promised though, here are my first 8 photos.<br />

I have started one of my resolutions. <div>
It's a 365 Project. Everyday, I will be taking at least one photograph. I will be posting daily to <a href="http://www.365project.org/">www.365project.org</a> and then weekly I will share them with you all.<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The camera I use is a little point and shoot made by Sony. It is a Cyber-shot 14.1mp. I really love this little thing! Someday I will get a DSLR, but for now, this thing is great!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>

Now on to the fun stuff!!! Here is my picture from today. (So far anyway)</div>

Where has the time gone? It feels like just a few years ago it was 2005. Back in 2005, I was a newly wed, 6 months pregnant and had a 3 1/2 year old. Wow! What a difference 10 years makes!! Now here I am a separated, tubes tied, mother of 3 boys, ages 13 1/2, 9 and almost 15 months. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
<br /></div>
<div dir="ltr">
It amazes me at the changes in me as well. My patience hasn't gotten much better, I'm sad to say. As for my anxiety, that I do have better control of it...well, most days. By no means am I where I want or need to be, but as the song from my childhood says 'Kids under construction... The Lord might not be finished yet'. </div>

I pray that as we venture into this new year, that we achieve the goals we have set for ourselves. As I previously posted, I have set for myself 3 resolutions. </div>

<br />
Hi there! I hope so far your week has been well. Today I am going to share with you the newest verse that I am trying to memorize and apply to my life. Do you memorize Bible verses? It's not just for little one. We are to hide His words in our hearts. (Psalms 119:11) The best way I see to do that is memorize and live out God's word.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgleLOAhozXafH3G5F_l8VOl1oqLdL796W39mD9TD_86iLLAf2DNjVHOoEaAY4KY9GnVKigKxRX5vSHLGMR2nAkpx_VYq6zskMilLcOBkT2bwBtFuHYmxNgW4ktMtQZwB7uqBdCVFdx2iw/s1600/James1.19.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="James 1:19" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgleLOAhozXafH3G5F_l8VOl1oqLdL796W39mD9TD_86iLLAf2DNjVHOoEaAY4KY9GnVKigKxRX5vSHLGMR2nAkpx_VYq6zskMilLcOBkT2bwBtFuHYmxNgW4ktMtQZwB7uqBdCVFdx2iw/s1600/James1.19.jpg" height="640" title="" width="480" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Like so many of us, I am quick to speak harshly and be angry. I wish that wasn't the case. All to often, it is. My desire is to learn and practice the words of this verse. Not only do I deserve better than to be angry all the time, but most importantly my children deserve better. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The first part of this verse is very important too. "be slow to speak," Wow! My mouth opens way too fast most of the time. Words come to my brain and I open my lips and let them spill out. How about you? How often do you find words just tumbling out? If your like me, it's all the time. I wonder how many things I miss hearing because I just jump to talking. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Let us be slow to speak and slow to anger. We deserve it and so do our family members. With God's help, we can make this verse come alive. I pray that we that do that. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

I am desperately seeking peace. God finds us in the strangest places and in the midst of my laundry, is where He finds me. It feels like the laundry around here is never ending. So when I actually have time to sit and fold it, I feel relief and peace. It sounds strange, I know. But when you have 3 little boys, you find peace where you can.<br />
<br />
My life over this past week has been so busy! It is often hard to find that time to sit and be still.<br />
But I have come to find that it doesn't matter what your doing, You just have to be still in your spirit and listen. What does it mean to be still in spirit? It means to quite that never ending list of chores to do that you run down in your head. To stop playing a running dialogue inside. Be quiet. Trust me, I know how hard it is. When my mouth isn't running, my inside voice is still going.<br />
<br />
Don't get me wrong. It is still very important to find daily time to spend with God. There is nothing as peaceful as sitting in a quiet space with your Bible and the Holy Spirit. I'm ashamed to say that, other than Saturday and Sunday, I did not take the time last week to be with God. Because of that, my week felt chaotic.<br />
<br />
It is only Tuesday, so this week still has a chance! Will you pray with me for peace this week? Let us keep our daily time with God a priority. Find time for Him. Even if it is only 10 minutes while the baby sleeps. Find time for God and it will make all the difference.<br />

I hope you are having a good week so far. I have come to a conclusion about our little mid-week chats. A new direction needs to be taken. It has been put it on my heart that I need to be in the Bible more. So I wanted to start sharing the Bible with you, during our mid-week chats.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4Xtt0IerfAFidOugHwH6URT15rooiseHeQNmaDpflXSBZGGDwEIZlHJHIsbSFvlbkFdlTpMS2fmrXL1V8oPABFTSEkKK5J4pUEp1sHdDB_pF25TusHt07qeupGdYG7Jd0gIXnpLSOyRE/s1600/MidWeekChat.jpg" imageanchor="1"><img alt="Mid-Week Chat: Diving into God's Word with Lil' Paper Crumbs" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4Xtt0IerfAFidOugHwH6URT15rooiseHeQNmaDpflXSBZGGDwEIZlHJHIsbSFvlbkFdlTpMS2fmrXL1V8oPABFTSEkKK5J4pUEp1sHdDB_pF25TusHt07qeupGdYG7Jd0gIXnpLSOyRE/s400/MidWeekChat.jpg" height="475" title="" width="640" /></a><br />
<br />
For this week we are going to be reading Romans 8:18-39. The translation I am using is Holman Christian Standard. Just for a little background on the book of Romans. Romans was written by the apostle Paul. This book is a letter to the Romans, whom Paul refers to as "God's beloved in Rome."(1:7).<br />
<br />
<br />
This section in my Bible is titled From Groans to Glory. Wow! What a statement that makes.<br />
The very first verse of this section speaks volumes to me.<br />
<br />
"For I consider that the suffering of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us." vs.18<br />
<br />
What a statement! Even though they were suffering, the glory to come will FAR surpass the agony they are enduring. I believe with all my heart that God never changes. So considering what Paul is saying here, we can apply this to our sufferings in the current day.<br />
<br />
<br />
This passage is speaking about eternally saving us, as well our present earthly adversity. Moving forward in the passage we are encouraged that the Holy Spirit comes to us. He comes to comfort and to help. Intercession is made on our behalf by Him when we have no words. It says that even He just groans and God understands.(vs.26-27) Such peace fills me to think that the Holy Spirit speaks on my behalf. The comfort that comes from the Presence of God can not be compared to anything I have ever felt.<br />
<br />
<br />
The last section of this passage is speaking about how nothing can separate us from God's love. NOTHING!! He loves us so much that He sent His son to die!! I know that I can't never love someone so much that I would offer one of my children to save them. Not ever. Really wrap your mind around that. God offered His son to die for YOU!<br />
<br />
If you haven't accepted Jesus as the Savior of the world and of you personally, Why not do it today? What are you waiting for? It is never too late!! Let me pray for you and me right now.<br />
<br />
<br />
Dear Heavenly Father,<br />
I ask you now that you speak to the person reading this. May you send your Holy Spirit to comfort them and let them know that you want to be in their lives. We ask for forgiveness of all our wrong doings and desire to turn from them forever. We know that you gave your son, Jesus as a living sacrifice for us. Please send your Holy Spirit down to us, for guidance and comfort. May we continue to be in your word daily and rest upon your promises.<br />
Amen<br />
<br />
Thank you for coming by and reading my Mid-Week Chat: Diving into God's word.<br />
<br />

I finally got it! My new template is so pretty and I think the layout is just about right. There might be a few little tweaks still needed. But over all, I am truly pleased! Granted, I am as indecisive as they come sometimes, so don't get hooked on the way it looks. LOL <br />
<br />
My blog isn't the only changes I am making this month. I am not one to make resolutions usually, but I do want to make a few this year. The thing is, these aren't just for 2015. I want to make permenint changes. There is only ONE way to do that....With GOD's help!<br />

Not only will you leave the post with instructions and printouts. But you will also leave feeling more thankful than when you came.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Thankful Leaves<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhm0DWm1EnT17tRkRy0RaA76Q-xwFgudg53bZ90SP264kn76leeDb9yJ5iZr1l0gPvw44P5snACwxw4RQPEdEvB5SBiG_s84yYSmMZnMVTLGPWpc2ybzrPcCFQP2JxqkCvhpCPhvBR0hcw/s1600/ThankfulLeaves.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Thankful Leaves @lilpapercrumbs.blogspot.com Free printable!" border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhm0DWm1EnT17tRkRy0RaA76Q-xwFgudg53bZ90SP264kn76leeDb9yJ5iZr1l0gPvw44P5snACwxw4RQPEdEvB5SBiG_s84yYSmMZnMVTLGPWpc2ybzrPcCFQP2JxqkCvhpCPhvBR0hcw/s1600/ThankfulLeaves.jpg" height="480" title="" width="640" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Last year I came up with a great idea. I made 2 leaf templates and had the kids help me trace them onto construction paper. Here is the free printable template for the <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fkj2qAv5MmmSnooloq36HwoMUdknJZ5zqfhkxrZNjkE/edit?usp=sharing" target="_blank">Thankful Leaves</a>. We then cut them out and laid them in a basket with a roll of tape and a few pens. Each time we felt thankful for something we have, we took a leaf, wrote what we were thankful for and taped it on the front door. We will be doing this again this year. I didn't have construction paper, so I used decorative paper. I think they came out so pretty!<br />
<br />
Thankful Leaves are a wonderful way to remind your children and yourself of all the little things we have to be thankful for. So many of us take for granted the little things. These leaves help bring thankfulness back to our hearts.<br />
<br />
<span class="chapternum" style="-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; background-color: white; bottom: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; left: 0px; line-height: 0.8em; position: relative;"> Psalms 105:1 </span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Verdana, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px;">O give thanks unto the </span><span class="small-caps" style="-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Verdana, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-variant: small-caps; line-height: 24px;">Lord</span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Verdana, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 24px;">; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.</span></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Helping Hand Bag<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZRBLV6UPfLKNHfRVOe61IoLTRkxtk2dK3m3wqgaZt-7frWiJkuwcJqcNaIWRHRX72oaEQXaMr0iZxsATCX09HeVG_HvzVFGPMMGxb_MQ-I-zesDiSJRh9gAIrkeO6_lkl0SdSnnszuls/s1600/Helping+Hands+Bag.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Helping Hands Bag with poem @lilpapercrumbs.blogspot.com " border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZRBLV6UPfLKNHfRVOe61IoLTRkxtk2dK3m3wqgaZt-7frWiJkuwcJqcNaIWRHRX72oaEQXaMr0iZxsATCX09HeVG_HvzVFGPMMGxb_MQ-I-zesDiSJRh9gAIrkeO6_lkl0SdSnnszuls/s1600/Helping+Hands+Bag.jpg" height="640" title="" width="480" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br />
<br /></div>
<div>
My children and I like to make these bags whenever we can and keep them in the car. Part of being thankful for what you have is also sharing with others. We take just brown paper lunch bags and decorate them. Just sit down with some crayons or markers and draw away. Put a bible verse on the front or something simple like a smiley face. Then we like to fill them with a few goodies. Usually we put a bottle of water, a granola bar, maybe a piece of candy and then a handwritten note. We want the people that we give these bags to, to know that they are special and loved. We hope our little Helping Hands Bags lift the receivers spirit and spread the love of Jesus Christ. </div>
<div>
Here is a <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1mcWQ7evNqnmI91JVsQIc81hD4VS2WVPPgsh0jmn3QBo/edit?usp=sharing" target="_blank">poem</a> that I wrote that you can print and put inside your bags if you would like.<br />
<br />
<h3 style="background: none rgb(255, 255, 255); border-top-style: none; color: #625529; font-family: Corbel, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 18px; left: 0px; position: relative; width: auto;">
<a class="bibleref" href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+John+3%3A17-18&version=ESV">1 John 3:17-18</a> <span class="note" style="color: #444444; font-size: 14px; font-weight: 400;">ESV </span></h3>
<div>
<span class="note" style="color: #444444; font-size: 14px; font-weight: 400;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="background-color: white; font-family: Corbel, Verdana, sans-serif; margin-top: -1em;">
But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.</div>

Hi there, y’all! I hope you are having a good week. Here is
how my week has gone so far.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Sunday was a rough day for me. I went to bed Saturday
feeling very dizzy. Then I woke up Sunday still feeling dizzy. I was dizzy all
day. My 2 older boys helped me with the chores and the baby. They were big
helpers that day.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Monday came and I felt back to normal. I’m not sure what was
going on, but I am sure glad it is done! Feeling dizzy is the pits. Monday
evening I folded about 4 loads of laundry and put it away. All except for the
summer clothes and clothes that needed to be hung up. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Tuesday was a pain. My baby, Benjamin wouldn't nap unless he
was laying on me. So I didn't really get much done. He did nap off of me for
about 15 minutes. During that time I hung up the clothes from yesterday. I
didn't get the summer clothes away. But I will. I also while he was playing,
emptied a tote and got rid of unwanted craft stuff. (unwanted craft stuff? What’s
that? LOL) I ended the day with hot chocolate with peppermint marshmallows!
Yummy!<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Today I will be going to my oldest son’s school. He is
participating in his school spelling bee. I’m so excite for him! He won second
place in his class. So now it’s on to competing against the other students in 8th
grade. If he wins, next is county wide spelling bee. We shall see. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
To wrap things up, I just wanted to leave you with these few
Bible verses.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
James 1:19-27 New International Version (NIV)<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
19 My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone
should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20 because
human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. 21 Therefore,
get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept
the word planted in you, which can save you.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive
yourselves. Do what it says. 23 Anyone who listens to the word but does not do
what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror 24 and, after
looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. 25
But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and
continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be
blessed in what they do.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I know that I am quick to speak and to get angry and that is
not good. I try so hard to embody this set of verses. I pray that today you can
do the same. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Later,<o:p></o:p></div>
